Studio Highlight: Keeping Your Brand On Track (October 2026)

Branding mistakes rarely happen all at once. More often, they accumulate slowly — a new font here, a different color there, a social template that doesn't quite match the website. Each decision might seem insignificant on its own, but over time, those little inconsistencies can change how a business is perceived.
When I work with a brand that feels "off," I’m usually looking at a few things first:
→ Does everything look like it belongs together? Your website, social media, marketing materials, and print pieces should feel like different expressions of the same brand.
→ Is the brand speaking to the right people? Your favorite colors or design trends aren't necessarily the right choices for your audience. Good branding finds the overlap between what feels authentic to you and what resonates with your clients.
→ Is there a clear point of view? A business doesn't need to follow every design trend. In fact, having a distinct visual perspective can be one of the things that makes a brand memorable.
→ Has the brand kept up with the business? Sometimes the problem isn't bad branding — it's old branding. If your business has evolved but your visuals haven't, there can be a disconnect between the quality of what you offer and how you're presenting it.
The good news is that a brand check-in doesn't always mean starting from scratch. Sometimes the strongest move is simply identifying what's working, what's not, and where a few intentional changes can create a much more cohesive experience. Good branding isn't about making everything perfect. It's about making everything feel purposeful.
